Good laws
Good laws are not made to be broken, they are made from many generations of hands on experience, and they are made to try and prevent us from breaking each other or our self.
Due to personal circumstances, offenders don’t always understand if, how or why they are doing wrong, but they do know if they are breaking the law, good laws prevent us from making Life–mistakes.

Good laws are like rising layers of safety nets
And the higher they go the thinner they gets
Gossamer strands of kindness shimmer on top
Break too many of these and you could drop
To the lower levels of petty crime
But of course you can save a great deal of time
By committing a serious wrong, or more
For then you could plunge onto crime’s ever-falling floor
But even then, you can you climb back up again
For all good laws will always take the strain
As long as you’re not too morally overweight
For if you are, then it’s back down for you my mate
For good laws warn: 'If you are about to break me, then whether it has been placed by others or yourself - you’re trying to carry too heavy a weight of responsibility.'
Those near bye will be dragged down part of the way
Possibly ruining their life (not to mention their day!)
Good laws also act like climbing nets
And the more you lighten up the higher you gets
Because, all good laws have the ability to respond
To your call to reach kindness and beyond
So share life’s burdens, for good leads to good
and bad leads to bad ... just like you knew they both would!
